Queenslake is dedicated to helping veterans.
Queenslake Horse Farm, located in Georgetown, Kentucky, is unwavering in its dedication to aiding veterans and addressing the distressing issue of veteran suicide. Through their ongoing outreach initiatives, they are determined to counteract isolation and foster camaraderie among veterans.
They regularly host Veterans Fishing Retreats, gathering large groups of veterans several times each year. These retreats offer a full day of fishing, social interaction, and the opportunity to build bonds among veterans of diverse ages, spanning from their 20s to their 60s. These therapeutic retreats serve as a much-needed respite from isolation. Additionally, individual veterans are invited to participate in fishing activities every Sunday.
The farm organizes the annual Mogadishu Mile Military Fitness Challenge, an exhilarating obstacle course competition that pays tribute to the 19 American soldiers who bravely sacrificed their lives during the infamous 1993 Battle of Mogadishu. This event promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and meaningful connections among participants while honoring the memory of fallen heroes.
Furthermore, Queenslake Horse Farm has established housing specifically designed for veterans, enabling them to reside together within a supportive community. This innovative approach effectively breaks the cycle of isolation on a daily basis, addressing one of the primary risk factors associated with veteran suicide.
Their vision extends to Veterans Freedom Farms and Communities, where multiple veteran residences are grouped together to provide comprehensive support. The ultimate goal is to transform these individual veteran homes into fully immersive communities, encompassing neighborhoods, apartments, ranches, or farms, all tailored to the unique needs of veterans.

The Story of Kentucky’s Best Kept Secret
Horse Boarding, Kentucky Weddings, and Bed and Breakfast.
A long time ago, in a land far away, there lived a beautiful princess who dreamed of a spacious and beautiful farm. She fancied horses running freely in the pastures; flocks of chickens roaming with geese and goats and dogs and cats in the sunshine. She saw herself sitting beside a large lake under a willow tree, sipping tea or lemonade every afternoon just before her nap. Then one day, a prince came along and said, “As you wish”.
The princess was amazed to discover that when the prince said “As you wish,” what he really meant was, “I love you.” And even more amazing was the day the princess realized she truly loved him too. And that is how Queenslake came to be. Queenslake is a family-owned and operated sports horse farm, bed and breakfast, and wedding venue in the heart of Kentucky’s Bluegrass Region, Horse Country, and the Bourbon Trail. We are located in Georgetown/Scott County about 10 minutes from both Georgetown and Midway, and just 12 minutes from the Kentucky Horse Park and 20 minutes to Keeneland Race Track.
Queenslake provides stunning views over our lakeside and has the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets you can imagine. We are pleased to offer the perfect place to board your equine partner, host a spectacular wedding or special event, or just escape for a few days and relax at a 5-star bed and breakfast.
