THE 6TH ANNUAL MOGADISHU MILE KENTUCKY

Queenslake Horse Farm is the proud annual host of the **Mogadishu Mile Kentucky**, a military-style obstacles ruck and run challenge that commemorates the lives of the 19 American soldiers of Task Force Ranger who made the ultimate sacrifice in Mogadishu, Somalia (October 3–4, 1993).

Morning Tribute

Begins at 08:00 AM with ceremonial bagpipes, a silent Friesian horse caisson procession, and the Roll Call of the Fallen 19 read by keynote speaker and Paralympic shooter Jaime Morales.

Obstacle Challenge

Staggered waves of solo runners and 4-person teams ruck a 1.8-mile course across pastures and water crossing carrying ammo cans, flags, and replica rifles past 19 memorials.

Lakeside Festival

Post-race party at the finish line featuring food trucks, craft beer by Country Boy Brewing, on-site tattoos, massage therapy, and a live concert on our 40x30 lakeside stage.

Dedicated Event Registration Website Please note that the Mogadishu Mile Kentucky event operates its own independent platform for race brackets, participant waivers, timings, and team sign-ups.

SUPPORT FREEDOM FARMS

Our Freedom Farms initiatives are supported by the generosity of our community, corporate sponsors, and dedicated volunteers. Together, we can provide a peaceful sanctuary for those who served.

Sponsor a Veteran: Cover lodging and meals for a veteran undergoing weekend agricultural or equine therapy.

Volunteer at the Stables: Help maintain the pastures, assist with therapy horses, or join our community cleanup days.

In-Kind Donations: We welcome agricultural tools, horse feed, tackle gear, and construction supplies for housing units.

COORDINATE A VETERAN RETREAT

Are you a veteran foundation coordinator or support group lead? We partner with military non-profits to host custom agricultural therapy sessions, private lakeside fishing retreats, and group stabling programs.
