★Kentucky's premier open-water swimming competition — held on Queenslake's private 40-acre lake in Georgetown, KY. Swimmers of all ages compete across multiple distances in a stunning natural setting.
The Kentucky Open Water Swimming Trial is organized by the Swimchester Sailfish swim club under the direction of Meet Director Kevin Ryan. The event draws swimmers from across Kentucky and the region to compete on Queenslake's stunning private 40-acre lake — a natural, clean-water venue unlike any other in the state.
Competitors line up on the sandy Queenslake beach, wade into the clear water, and navigate a marked buoy course while kayak safety escorts and paddleboarders keep watch. The rolling Kentucky pastures, weeping willows, and the white-columned Queenslake mansion frame every stroke.
Whether you are a competitive swimmer chasing a qualifying time or a first-timer looking for an unforgettable open-water experience, the Kentucky Open Water Swimming Trial welcomes all.
